Description	:	Harold Keith Grimm was born in Miller, Hand Co., South Dakota, February 7, 1931, the oldest of four sons of Artie and Esther (Oman) Grimm. The family lived on a farm six miles northeast of St. Lawrence. The boys all attended 12 years at the St. Lawrence school, where Harold graduated from SLHS in 1950. He farmed with his father until 1968, when health problems made finding a different vocation a necessity. Harold and Thelma (Jenner), daughter of Edwin J. and Genevieve (Fisher) Jenner, were married June 28, 1953, following her graduation from SLHS. They lived in a small house... Read More	Harold Keith Grimm was born in Miller, Hand Co., South Dakota, February 7, 1931, the oldest of four sons of Artie and Esther (Oman) Grimm. The family lived on a farm six miles northeast of St. Lawrence. The boys all attended 12 years at the St. Lawrence school, where Harold graduated from SLHS in 1950. He farmed with his father until 1968, when health problems made finding a different vocation a necessity. Harold and Thelma (Jenner), daughter of Edwin J. and Genevieve (Fisher) Jenner, were married June 28, 1953, following her graduation from SLHS. They lived in a small house on his parent's farm. They became the parents of son, Randy and daughter, Julie, both of whom also attended grade school in St. Lawrence. Harold attended Business College in Huron, SD and earned a degree in Business Administration and Accounting in 1970. He immediately accepted the position of bookkeeper for Sunshine Bible Academy, and moved his family to the campus south of Miller, where he held the position of Business Manager for five years. His children both graduated from SBA. In 1975, they moved to LaGrange, Wyoming, where they bought and ran a grocery store for two years. After selling the store in 1977, both began working at Frontier School of the Bible. Harold was Business Manager for ten years, while Thelma was secretary for three years, and Service Supervisor for the next seven years. In May of 1987, Harold and Thelma moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where both were employed by Calvary Bible Collge. Harold worked in the Cashiers Office, and Thelma in the Accounts Payable/Payroll office. ------------ According to their SLHS 1995 Alumni BIOs, they planned to "semi-retire in another year". Last address found: Catalina, AZ. ...csr (SLHS Alumni Director 1975-1995) ------------ Harold died December 10, 2016. Survivors include his wife, Thelma; son, Randy (Ruth) Grimm; daughter, Julie (Wes) Shoemaker; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Trubert and Merlin. He was preceded by his parents and a brother, Richard Grimm.
