Read More	Harold Lavere Humberson May 26, 1932 - July 23, 2015 Harold Lavere Humberson, 83, of Grantsville, MD, died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. Born May 26, 1932, in Friendsville, MD, he was the son of the late Ivan and Ellen (Friend) Humberson. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn (Friend) Humberson; one son, Timothy Dale Humberson and two brothers, Robert and Jack Humberson. Mr. Humberson was a retired School Teacher for the Garrett Co. Board of Education, having taught at Kitzmiller Elementary, Rt. 40 Elementary, Northern and Southern High Schools. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Selbysport United Methodist Church. He was instrumental in organizing the building trade's wing at Northern High and was in the second EMT class to establish Northern Garrett Co. Rescue Squad. He was a former member of Friendsville Vol. Fire and Rescue Co. and member of Grantsville Post 214, American Legion and the Grantsville Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis JoAnn (Villa) Humberson; one son, Thomas Humberson and wife, Rebecca, Grantsville; one daughter, Tammy Humberson and husband, Mark Gallagher, Friendsville; one step-son, Daryl McKenzie and wife, Ramona, Indianapolis, IN; three step-daughters, Sherry Wiley and friend, Randy Adkins, Grantsville; Karen Siefers and husband, Todd, Frostburg, MD; Karlinda Kamp and husband, Galen, Avilton, MD; five grandchildren, Willie Gallagher and wife, Miranda, Madi Gallagher, Courtney and Cody Humberson and Jason Humberson. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Friday from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted in the Sand Spring Cemetery on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Donnie Savage officiating. Military graveside rites will be accorded by Grantsville Post 214, American Legion. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Hospice of Garrett County.
