Harold (Hal) Perrine, 63, was found dead in his barbershop Thursday of a self-inflicted bullet wound. According to Coroner Dean Lowry, Mr. Perrine shot himself in the right temple with an old 25 caliber pistol. Lowry said he had apparently been dead since Tuesday Night. Perrine was found by Dick Gibson, who with Mrs. Della Webb and Miss Dorothy Barbourm entered the rear of the barbershop after they became worried about his absence. The shop had been closed for several days while Hal was confined to the Community hospital for medical care, but he had been released a week before and had indicated he planned to go back to work within two or three days. Finding no one in the living quarters at the rear of the building, the two women presumed Perrine had left town for a few days. Gibson decided he might as well look into the next room. He found Perrine's body in the office part of the barbershop and immediately called the sheriff's office and the coroner. Harold P. Perrine was born in Big Timber, August 14, 1896, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephen A. Perrine. He attended grade school and high school here, becoming associated in the barber business with his father at an early age. He took over the business when his father retired about 20 years ago and was still active in it at the time of his death. Survivors include a brother, Earl of Oakland Calif. three sisters, Mrs. Della Webb of Big Timber; Miss Ardis Perrine and Mrs. Julius (Virginia) Barstad of Minneapolis; two nieces Mrs. Jack (Jane) Kersch of Oakland and Mrs. Sigurd (Jo) Lavold of Big Timber.
