A reception was held in their honor at the Reformed Presbyterian church (sic) in Superior, Neb., July 6. The Elliotts were former residents of Morning Sun. Mr. and Mrs. Elliott will live at Superior, Neb. ======================== The Superior Express (Superior, NE), Thursday, August 28, 1986 Memorial services for Harriet Elliott, 79, formerly of Superior, and more recently of Fort Wayne, Ind., will be Saturday at 11 a.m., in the Reformed Presbyterian Church. The church pastor, The Rev. Ralph Joseph, assisted by Dr. D. Howard Elliott, will conduct the service. Mrs. Elliott is the widow of Lloyd Elliott, who died here in 1970. After serving as a teacher for a number of years in the Superior school system, she became an assistant librarian at the Carnegie Public Library in 1950. For 12 years she served as head librarian. She was honored by the library board on May 7, 1982, following her retirement. Mrs. Elliott, who suffered from diabetes, was rushed to the hospital early last week and died Friday afternoon. She is survived by a daughter, Ann Staadt, Fort Wayne, Ind., and a brother, Dr. Oliver Martin, Salina. The Williams Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements and interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
