Remaining to mourn the loss are her parents, two sisters, Irene and Marion; one brother, Roland. The service was conducted at the church in Simpson's Corner, September 7th, by Rev. Palmer of New Germany, who spoke comforting words to the bereaved from Psalms 55, verse 22. The choir sang three hymns, "Jesus Loves the Little Children," "When He Cometh", and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." Interment was made in the Hemford Cemetery. The suddenness of the baby's death has cast a gloom over the whole community, as the little girl had attended Sunday School with her mother in the morning, and passed away in the early afternoon of the same day, September 4th, 1938.
