The deceased was the last remaining member of a large family. She was the daughter of the late Abraham and Eliza deLong of Barss Corner. Her husband predeceased her eight years ago and two children died at an early age. Other members of her family were, sister, Mary, Mrs. Bennett Morton; brothers, Leander, William, George, Isaac, the latter a merchant of New Germany who died eight years ago. Those surviving to mourn their loss are a son, George, on the old homestead; Etta, wife of Howard Mader, both of Barss Corner; and six grandchildren, one Miss Ernestine Palmer who is taking a nurse's training at Yarmouth Hospital; also Laurie Palmer, an electrical engineer of Boston. Mrs. Palmer was a consistent member of the United Church, an efficient and conscientious Sunday School teacher and was always interested in every thing pertaining to the welfare of the community. Before her marriage, Mrs. Palmer taught schol and some time after her marriage lived at Melvin Square where she made a host of friends. Much sympathy is felt for the friends and relatives.
