Description	:	Harriett Wand, wife of Joseph Wand, was born June 3, 1856; died November 7, 1905, aged 49 years, 5 months, 4 days. She leaves a husband, five children, three sisters, one brother and a host of friends to mourn her death. She was sick but a short time and her suffering was intense. She never uttered a murmur, but with that christian spirit, which was so perceptible in her whole life, she bore her affliction until her spirit winged its flight to the God she loved and faithfully served. She leaves a husband, five children, three sisters, one brother and a host of friends to mourn her death. She was sick but a short time and her suffering was intense. She never uttered a murmur, but with that christian spirit, which was so perceptible in her whole life, she bore her affliction until her spirit winged its flight to the God she loved and faithfully served. Forget not loved ones that God doeth all things well, and some day we will understand why God has called her. To the broken hearted ones we would say look to Jesus through your tears and He can show that dear one loved so well under the tree of life beside the crystal stream and happy in the love of Him who is mightier than death. "Blessed are the dead which died in the Lord from henceforth: yes, saith the Spirit, that they rest from their labors; and their works do follow them." She united with the North River Baptist church April 12, 1890. She lived a noble christian life. In her death the church has lost a faithful worker, always present and ready for christian duty. Her loss to the community can scarcely be estimated. Ever at the bedside of the sick and suffering, ministering with gentle touch and kind words. Ah, how we will miss her. Her funeral was preached by her pastor Rev. Briscoe, after which she was laid away in the King cemetery. And today through clouds of sorrow comes this message from above. "Stricken hearts doubt not, nor faint not, Still remember 'God is love;' Though he chastens with deep sorrow, Still he leads you all the way. Through your grief this promise cherish God shall wipe all tears away." A Friend.
