Mar 13, 1956-Algona Upper Des Moines Newspaper; Harry Von Draska entered Mercy Hospital in Fort Dodge, March 3 where he is receiving medical treatments. * 15 Mar 1956-Kossuth County Advance Newpaper; Harry Von Draska 71 years old, LuVerne painter, died Tuesday night at the Mercy Hospital at Fort Dodge. He had been a Painter for 40 years. Mr. Von Draska had been a patient at Fort Dodge for the past 2 weeks had been cared for the past several weeks by a niece Mrs. Ardith Phelps of Victor. His wife peceded him in death in 1949 and he was the last of a family of 3 brothers and 2 sisters, a step-daughter, Mrs. Charles Boyles of Excelsior, Minnesota, survives as well as 3 nephews and 2 nieces. Funeral Services had not been set at the Advance Press time. Burial well be made in the Lu Verne cemetery. The Blake Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. * 20 Mar 1956-Algona Upper Des Moina Newspaper; FUNERAL FRIDAY FOR LUVERNE MAN Funeral services for Harry Von Draska 72, resident of LuVerne for the past 40 years, was held Friday in the Evangelical United Brethren Church, at 2 p.m. Rev. J. Paul Stevens officated and buried was in Lu Verne Cemetery. The Blake Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Von Draska died at 10 p.m. Tuesday in Mercy Hospital, Fort Dodge, where he had been a patient for the past 2 weeks. He was born at Lone Tree, Feb 25 1884 and moved to LuVerne from Lone Tree. He was a Painter and Decorator and was actively engaged in his profession until semi-retirement 4 years ago. Mr. Von Draska is survived by a step-daughter Mrs. Charles Boyles, Excelsior, MN., 2 nephews and 2 nieces. One niece, Mrs. Ardis Phelps of Victor was with him during his hospitization. He was proceded in death by his wife Nettie, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Pallbears at the funeral were Steve Baker, Vern Jeffers, Guy Giddines, Walt Engels, Burt DiNio and Harry Lichty. *****************************************
