Frank Von Draska, son of John and Mary Von Draska was born in South Liberty, Jan. 6, 1872, and passed away at the University hospital in Iowa City Saturday morning, Oct. 30. He was 82. Mr. Von Draska, as a boy, moved to Lone Tree, where he grew to manhood. At the age of 21 he went to Milwaukee, WI., to learn the molders trade at which he worked until a strike forced him to seek other employment. He returned to Lone Tree where he later became a Watkins salesman which he was for many years, as long as his age and health permitted. On June 29, 1899, he was united in marriage to Pearl Beck at Lone Tree. To this union three children were born, Earl who passed away in 1945, Ardis who is at home and Daryl of Los Angeles, CA. The Von Draskas came to Victor about 1916 and have made their home here since that time. He was in good health until September when he suffered a stroke. He was active until that time. He was well known throughout the community due to his employment and had many friends. Mr. Von Draska is survived by his widow, two children, two grandchildren, Kris and Dana Von Draska, one brother Harry Von Draska of Luverne, one nephew and two nieces. Pallbearers were Will Merck, Wm. Nowotny, Vic Van Hamme, Ray Gensley, Louis Koehn and Ed Bushnell.
