Read More	Holyoke Enterprise, Holyoke, CO, May 1985 HARRY PEACH RITES MAY 1 Harry Albert Peach, the son of Abiel and Addie Storrs Peach, was born September 23, 1896 on a farm three miles from the town of Lawrence, NE. After attending rural elementary school, he graduated from Lawrence High School. He then taught rural school in Nebraska four years and then attended Lincoln Business College in Lincoln, NE graduating in 1920. It was that same year that he came to Holyoke to work as accountant and business manager for W.E. Heginbotham of the local First National Bank. This position he cherished and kept until the passing of Mr. Heginbotham in 1968. It was then that Ray E. Crosby and Harry were named executors of the Heginbotham estate and, along with Glen Stenson of Holyoke, became guardians of the much patterned after Heginbotham Trust Fund. This group of directors was honored in the Denver Post Empire Section on April 9, 1979, attesting to the excellent management policies of the Heginbotham Trust. Assets of this fund nearly doubled in addition to the $2 million in cash gifts for various county improvements. Harry joined the Holyoke Methodist Church November 21, 1920, serving as the secretary of the Sunday School for several years. It was on June 26, 1924 that he was joined in holy matrimony with Olive Irene Young of Holyoke. They celebrated their 60 years of marriage last year in 1984. Olive or "Ollie" as she is affectionately known, taught 50 years in Colorado schools including 15 in several rural elementary districts and 35 in Holyoke Grade school. During that time, she had opportunity to teach second and even a few third generation children. It was in 1929 that Harry became a member of the Holyoke Masonic Lodge serving as worshipful Master of that lodge in 1941. His wife Olive was Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star Chapter 105 at the same time. Mr. Peach was the last living charter member of the Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department. Harry was the youngest member of a family of six including one brother Henry, twin brothers Will and Berl, two sisters Anna Peach and Mamie Stout, all of whom have since passed away. Survivors include his wife Olive and two nephews of the original family. Clyde Peach of Lincoln, NE and Clarence Stout of Holyoke as well as several great nieces and nephews of Colorado, Utah, Georgia and Nebraska. Harry passed away Sunday, April 28. Services were held at the United Methodist Church Wednesday, May 1 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Joe Stewart officiating. Graveside burial services were conducted by Masonic Lodge No. 81 of Holyoke.
