Walter Enstrom will officiate. Burial will be in a Nevada, Iowa, cemetery under direction of the Walter Funeral Home of Anthon. Mr. Brooks was born Dec. 4, 1895 at Oto. He married Sylvia Fetterhoff Aug. 25, 1920 at Nevada. He was employed at his father’s drugstore at Oto until he began farming in 1940. He retired in 1963. Mr. Brooks was a member of the Oto Town Council for many years, and he was a 50-year member of Amicable Lodge 289 AF&AM at Smithland. Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Wayne Swegle of West Des Moines, Iowa; a son, William of Collins, Iowa and four grandchildren.
