Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at 3:58 p.m. Cliff was born in Lafayette on November 3, 1929. He was the son of the late Robert Lee "Buss" and Verna Deloris (Long) Martin. He was raised in the West Point community and attended West Point School. Read More	Harry Clifford "Cliff" Martin, 83, Attica, passed away at the I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at 3:58 p.m. Cliff was born in Lafayette on November 3, 1929. He was the son of the late Robert Lee "Buss" and Verna Deloris (Long) Martin. He was raised in the West Point community and attended West Point School. In his early life, Cliff helped his father and brother, Bob farm and also did butchering for Howell's Processing in Lafayette. He later did construction work and owned and operated his own construction company for several years. Growing up, Cliff loved raising horses and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He later enjoyed traveling to Wyoming to hunt deer and elk with his friends. He enjoyed raising cattle and "bossing" people. He enjoyed mowing his yard. He was a 50 year member of the Shawnee Lodge # 129 F. & A.M.; member of the National Rifle Association; enjoyed watching and listening to country music on Saturday nights; loved boating and fishing along river. He enjoyed wintering in Silver Springs, Florida for over 30 years. On May 7, 1991, Cliff married Brenda J. (Swindle) King in Clarksville, Tenn. Cliff leaves behind his wife, Brenda, of 41 years; two daughters, Sherry Lee Martin and Sandra (Aaron) Martin-Whisler, both of Silver Springs, Fla.; a son, Clifford Daniel "Dan" Martin, Attica; three brothers, James W. Martin, Claude "Bud" B. Martin, both of West Point and Russell D. "Donnie" (companion- Julie Musser) Martin, Attica; sister-in-law, Patricia Martin, West Point; 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth L. and Robert A. Martin along with two sisters, Carol I. White and Evelyn M. Eaglehoff. Services were held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on September 4 with Lori Kerr officiating. Burial followed in the West Point Cemetery, West Point Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
