He was born Oct. 5, 1901, in Ottumwa to Fred and Zoe Guinenon [sic] Moyer. He worked for the CB&Q Railroad for 25 years and later retired from the Harper McIntire Wholesale Hardware Company. He was born Oct. 5, 1901, in Ottumwa to Fred and Zoe Guinenon [sic] Moyer. He worked for the CB&Q Railroad for 25 years and later retired from the Harper McIntire Wholesale Hardware Company. He was a member of Empire Masonic Lodge 269, the Zarapath Consistory in Davenport and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen. He married Blanche M. Blount on Aug. 17, 1927, in Ottumwa. She died in 1983. He is survived by a son, Robert of Kankakee, Ill., a daughter, Ramona Hild of Webster City; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Johnson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Raymond Roden of Trinity Luthern Church in Webster City officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. The casket will be closed as the service begins. Visitation will begin at noon Sunday. The family will be in the funeral chapel from 7-9 p.m. Sunday. A memorial has been established to the Alzheimer's Support Group in care of St. Joseph Hospital and Rehabiliation Center.
