Description	:	Harry Fred Dirrim, 91, died Friday at Betz Nursing Home, Auburn. He was born March 1, 1902, in Clay County to Timothy H. and Lulu Garver Dirrim. Mr. Dirrim was involved in law enforcement in Steuben County for over 40 years, having served as deputy sheriff and sheriff. He was also a former Hamilton town marshal. He was born March 1, 1902, in Clay County to Timothy H. and Lulu Garver Dirrim. Mr. Dirrim was involved in law enforcement in Steuben County for over 40 years, having served as deputy sheriff and sheriff. He was also a former Hamilton town marshal. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War I, Mr. Dirrim belonged to Hamilton Masonic Lodge, the Pythian Lodge and the Hamilton Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Celestia Sue Hanes, whom he married Oct. 6, 1932; one son Harry "Fred" Jr. of Angola; four daughters, Maida Kreischer of Hamilton, Valta Doyle of Blacksburg, Va., wilma Kyle of Port Orange, Fla. and Linda wicker of Fremont; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Charla, and one sister, Pauline Tingler. Funeral services were Tuesday at Hamilton Church of Christ with Pastor David Payne officiating. Burial was in Hamilton Cemetery. Oberlin & Ford Funeral Home, Hamilton, was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Hamilton Church of Christ. Note: both Harry and his sister Pauline were adopted by Timothy and Lulu.
