Read More	Glasco Sun, May 14, 1914, page 1: Death of H.L. Soule Harry L. Soule was born May 17, 1862, in La Harpe, Hancock county, Illinois. He was one of the three sons of Harrison Soule and Adeline Sanford Soule. He died May 6, 1914, aged 52 years, 11 months and 19 days. Mr. Soule traces his ancestors back to the time the Mayflower made her way across the Atlantic in 1620, with George Soule who cast his lot with the Pilgrims, and living to an advanced age, dying in 1679, and on down to Harrison Soule. the father of the deceased, who was born August 3, 1836, dying September 22, 1884. At the early age of nineteen, Mr. Soule took up the art of photography, operating in various portions of Illinois, Iowa and Kansas, locating at Glasco in 1895 and operating a studio up until the time of his sickness, which occurred in the fall of 1911. Mr. Soule was married in the spring of 1891, March 20, to Florence Ott Hampton, the widow of Jasper Hampton, to whom three children were born, Ed, Oscar and Theresa. To Mr. and Mrs. Soule one child was born, Harry. Mr. Soule united with the Christian church during one of Rev. Garner's revival meetings in 1899. He was also a member of the F.A.A., joining in 1891. Mr. Soule was a kind and affectionate husband and a good father to his children. The funeral service was held in the Christian church at 11 a.m. May 10, conducted by Rev. G.W. Smith of Delphos. The building, though large, was inadequate to the occasion, people waiting on the outside. His remains were placed in the Glasco cemetery beside those of his stepdaughter, Theresa. Card of Thanks We extend our sincere thanks to our many friends and neighbors and to the F.A.A. of which he was a member, for the many kindnesses shown us since the death of our dear husband and father, and for the beautiful floral offerings. Our one consolation is the love which always survives the grave and is one of the noblest attributes of the soul. Mrs. Soule and family.
