Read More	HARRY (PETE) HANSON November 9, 1918 - September 22, 2015 Pete Hanson was born to Neomi & Lars Hanson on November 9, 1918, in Barnard, Missouri. Pete married Barbara Wright on Nov. 9, 1941. His early adult life was spent as a farmer, Superintendent of the local School Board and active member of Bethany Christian Church. Pete and Barbara moved to Chico, California in 1957 where he worked numerous jobs before starting a job with PG&E, retiring as a gas serviceman. His life in Chico included many years of teaching Sunday School at the First Christian Church before joining the Chico Church of Christ. Pete and Barb moved to The Oakmont in 2000 where an exciting new chapter of their life began. Pete was a people person and loved his grandchildren, great -grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and anyone he met. Pete was preceded in death by Barbara and son Randy. Survived by daughter Linda Short (Dennis) and son Ted Hanson (Judy), four grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren. The last year and a half at Townsend House Assisted Living was a blessing due to the loving care of the caregivers. Pete will be remembered for his bright smile, loving heart, and generous spirit. His life will be celebrated at the Brusie Funeral Home at 2 pm, Sunday, September 27. Interment will be at Glen Oaks Memorial Park at 10 am Monday, September 28. Donations may be made to Butte Home Health and Hospice or the hospice of your choice. Published in Chico Enterprise-Record on Sept. 25, 2015
