Description	:	Harry Saunders Harry Saunders, son of Marion and Alvira Boswell Saunders, was born March 7, 1877, at Forrest Home, Ia., and died February 1, 1931, at Lawson, Mo., aged 53 years, 10 months and 24 days. When a child he moved to Eddyville where his boyhood days and most of his later life were spent. From time to time he moved to other locations but would always return to his boyhood home town. Read More	Harry Saunders Harry Saunders, son of Marion and Alvira Boswell Saunders, was born March 7, 1877, at Forrest Home, Ia., and died February 1, 1931, at Lawson, Mo., aged 53 years, 10 months and 24 days. When a child he moved to Eddyville where his boyhood days and most of his later life were spent. From time to time he moved to other locations but would always return to his boyhood home town. He was married March 22, 1898 to Miss Amy Yoder and to this union three children were born, one dying in infancy. Mr. Saunders was employed with the Free Sewing Machine company for twenty years and for the past two years had been manager of the Singer Sewing Machine company at Kansas City and Chillicothe, Mo. It was while en route from his home in Kansas City to Chillicothe, Mo., that he met with an auto accident which resulted in his death. The deceased was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his wife, Mrs. Amy Saunders, he is survived by two sons, Orville J. and Louis Leroy Saunders of 7105 Harrison street, Kansas City, Mo., also two nephews, Charles St. Clair of Cedar Rapids, and Fred Ruth, of Minneapolis; a niece, Mrs. E.G. Porter of Edgerly, So. Dak., and a brother-in-law, Frank Ruth of Minneapolis. Funeral services were held from Freeman Chapel in Kansas City Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. The remains were brought to the Klein Funeral home Wednesday morning and interment was made in the afternoon in Highland cemetery. Members of the Eddyville lodge No. 74, A.F. & A.M. had charge of the services at the grave. (Eddyville Tribune, Eddyville, IA, February 5, 1931)
