Born May 12, 1891 at Ruthven, Iowa, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Tripp. He received his schooling and spent his early life there. Read More	Obituary Harry Ward Tripp Harry Ward Tripp, 91, long-time Flatwillow area rancher, died early Wednesday morning at the Central Montana Hospital after a brief illness. Born May 12, 1891 at Ruthven, Iowa, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Tripp. He received his schooling and spent his early life there. In 1912, Tripp came to Montana and homesteaded in the Flatwillow area where he ranched until his retirement in 1965. On May 20, 1914, he married Hallie Marie King at the Flatwillow Hall. She preceded him in death in 1977. In 1970, Tripp moved to the Eagles Manor in Lewistown, where he lived until 1980 when he moved back to Winnett, where he had made his home until the time of his death. He was very active in the community affairs of the Flatwillow area and served on the school board, the Flatwillow Community Hall Board and was chairman of the "Triple A Organization," which is now known as the ASCS offices, for many years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Winnett. Tripp is survived by two sons, Ralph H. of Melville, N.Y. and Richard H. of Winnett; three daughters, Ruth Laugeman and Lu Pugrud, both of Winnett; and JoAnn Correa of Raymondville, Tex.; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers, one sister and two grandchildren Funeral services for Harry Ward Tripp will be from the Flatwillow Hall Monday at 2 p.m. Rev. David Iverson of the Winnett Baptist Church will officiate with interment to follow in the Tripp Family Cemetery. Friends wishing to do so, may make memorials to the Flatwillow Community Hall, the Big Sky Bible College, or the charity of their choice, and may be left at the funeral home. The Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be viewing at the chapel from Friday morning until Sunday evening for those not able to attend the services.
