Read More	HARRY WILSON TAKES HIS LIFE BY DRINKING POISON Harry Wilson, 29, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Wilson of northeast of Villisca, ended his life Friday night by drinking nearly two sources of carbolic acid on the back porch at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. Still on East Fifth Street. He drank the poison about 10:30 p.m. and died within twenty minutes. Members of the Wilson and Still families said he gave no reason for taking his own life and had indicated that he intended to so. They said the act might have been due to his worrying over the inability to find steady employment. Members of his family said he had been somewhat melancholy of late. When buying the poison at a local drug store he obtained it on the pretext that he wanted it as an antiseptic to use on an injured knew. Miss Catherine Still, with whom he had kept company for the last years, was with him when he drank the poison, but though she grabbed the bottle and was burned on the had by some of the liquid, she was unable to prevent him from swallowing most of the contents of the bottle. Members of the Still home, where he called two or three times during the evening, said he appeared extremely nervous. The same condition was notices also when he was at the Carl Taylor Cigar Store early in the evening. A physician was called immediately after Wilson took the poison, but so quick and deadly was its effect that nothing could be done to prolong his life. His body was removed to the Wolfe & Gourley Mortuary. Saturday evening the body was taken to the home of the parents of the deceased and was returned Sunday morning to the Wolfe & Gourley Funeral Chapel where it remained until the funeral which was held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the Methodist Church, with the Rev. W. F. Clayburg in charge. The singing was by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Nordyke, with Helen Bunker at the piano, and pall bearers were Elton and Donald Anderson, Howard and Leonard Penwell, Claude and Elmo Day. Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery. Harry Wilson was born July 17, 1906 at Crawford, Nebraska and was the oldest son of his parents. He attended the Villisca High School and spent all his life at home with his parents except much time was was employed elsewhere. Besides his parents, he leaves four sister and three brothers, They are Helen, Dorothy, and Wayne at home, Mrs. Mildred Neill of Corning, Mrs. Lucille Clark of Council Bluffs, and Paul and Dennis of Villisca.
