Description	:	Harvey Carper died Thursday, March 12th (1903) at 7 p.m. at the home of his son, James M. near Weeping Water, at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 3 days. He has been a constant sufferer the past year and a half but bore his afflictions patiently until the end. He leaves to mourn his departure a wife and eleven children, 6 sons and 5 daughters of which 4 were at his bedside when the end came.. Harvey Carper was born in Giles county, Va., April 9, 1827. At the age of 25 he moved to Cass county, Ill., and the following year was united in marriage to Miss Agnes C. Simmons. In 1863 with his family he removed to Cass county, Nebr., where he resided until his death. Thirteen children were born to this union of which eleven are still iving: A.B. Carper, Mrs. Oney Barret (sic), Eagle; James M., Weeping Water; Mrs. Will Rhoden, Elmwood; T. W., Emerson; Mrs. Sarah Kennet, Lincoln; Mrs. Don Wilson, Omaha; Ira E. Watsonville, Calif.; Harvey V., Carrington, N. D.; Mrs. Ella Turner, McGregor, Minn.. The funeral service was held at Weeping Water, Saturday afternoon at two o'clock.
