Harvey Hans Frick was born November 28, 1915, in Scott County, Iowa, the son of Henry and Helena (Untiedt) Frick. He was raised on the family farm and was educated in the Durant schools. Harvey Hans Frick was born November 28, 1915, in Scott County, Iowa, the son of Henry and Helena (Untiedt) Frick. He was raised on the family farm and was educated in the Durant schools. He married Helen Anna Eichhorst on March 2, 1941, in Davenport, Iowa. They were the parents of three daughters, Susan Kay, Cheryl Ann and Julia Rae. In 1943, Harvey was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Williamsburg, Iowa. He became a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Harvey first farmed near Wilton and later near Williamsburg. In 1947, he was employed with the J.I. Case Company of Bettendorf, Iowa. His job involved taking combines and other farm machinery to the rice fields of Arkansas and wheat fields of Montana. In 1950, he transferred to the service department, where he was sent to Michigan to work with implement dealers, farmers and fruit growers. In 1957, J.I. Case sent him to Montana, where he remained, retiring in 1982, after 35 years with J.I. Case, 25 of those years in Montana. He loved the mountains, hunting and fishing. Surviving are his wife, Helen of Billings; two daughters, Susan Payne of Baltimore, MD, and Julia Foster of Aurora, CO; one granddaughter, three sisters, Phyllis Frick of Burlington, IA, Gloria Ferguson of East Moline, IL, and Jane Moeller of Davenport, IA; two sisters-in-law, Marian Frick of Nashua, IA, and Maxine Frick of Maquoketa, IA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two step-mothers, one daughter, Cheryl Frick, one sister, Arlene Cole and three brothers, Edwin, Donald and LeRoy Frick. Billings Gazette, July 27, 2007
