Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Billings, Montana. Helen Anna Eichhorst was born March 21, 1918, in Stockport, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Anna (Wille) Eichhorst. She grew up on the family farm in the Williamsburg, Iowa, area. After completing her schooling, she moved to Davenport, Iowa. She married Harvey Hans Frick on March 4, 1941, in Davenport. Together they farmed near Sigourney, Iowa, for a few years, then returned to Davenport, when Harvey became employed with the J.I. Case Company in Bettendorf, Iowa, where they were first sent to Haslett, Michigan, then transferred to Billings, Montana, where they remained until Harvey's retirement in 1982. Harvey died on July 21, 2007. Helen was a homemaker and later worked in retailing, working with children's clothing at ABC Kiddie Shop and then later at Hart-Albin's Youth Center. She later became employed with Lori's, a women's store in the Billings area, until her retirement. She was an active member of Trinity and Mount Olive Lutheran Churches and the local Lutheran Women's Missonary auxiliaries. She volunteer of the Girl Scouts of Iowa, Michigan and Montana. She was a "Pink Lady" at St. Vincent's Hospital and was a volunteer in several groups at St. John's Lutheran Home. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, gardening, opera and classical music. She is survived by two daughters, Susan Payne of Baltimore, MD, and Julia Foster of Aurora, CO; and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Cheryl Ann Frick, and two brothers, Albert and Reinhold Eichhorst. Billings Gazette, Mar 14, 2009
