Description	:	Funeral services for Harvey J. Bourn, 72, of Niobrara were conducted Saturday morning, Aug. 21, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Niobrara with the Rev. Lloyd Anderson officiating. Harvey Joseph Bourn was born March 11, 1904 to John and Mamie Blankenfeld Bourn at their farm home northwest of Bloomfield. He attended country school and worked on the farm until 1931, when he started farming himself. On June 17, 1932, he married Christine Juracek at Yankton, SD. Five sons were born to them. Harvey Joseph Bourn was born March 11, 1904 to John and Mamie Blankenfeld Bourn at their farm home northwest of Bloomfield. He attended country school and worked on the farm until 1931, when he started farming himself. On June 17, 1932, he married Christine Juracek at Yankton, SD. Five sons were born to them. They resided on a farm until retirement, moving into Niobrara in 1936. He was a commercial trucker until 941, when he returned to farming near Niobrara, where the family operated the Bourn dairy for 10 years. He drove the first school bus in the Niobrara school disrict in 1941-42 and again in the 1960's. Mr. and Mrs. Bourn moved into the new Niobrara in 1975. Mr. Bourn was received into membership of the Niobrara Lutheran Church, Dec.18, 1954, through adult baptism. He continued as an active member. He was a member of the Niobrara Community Club. He died Aug. 18 at the Niobrara Valley Hospital at Lynch. Survivors include his wife; sons, Jim, Donley, Robert and Kenneth; father, John; two brothers, Orville and Melvin; three sisters Evelyn (Henry) Rose, Irene Rose and Luella (Karl) Nielsen.
