Read More	Vevay Reveille Enterprise Vevay, Indiana January 21, 1954 *Harvey Lester Is Claimed By Death In Madison Hospital* *Was Native Of This County and Resided Here Nearly All His Life* Harvey Lester, 58, a native and nearly all his life a resident of Switzerland County, died in Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison Sunday afternoon following a long illness which culminated in his being removed to the hospital four days before his death, from his home near Deputy, Indiana. He was a son of Clarence E. Lester and Ida V. Boyd and was born near Mt. Sterling, March 25, 1895. On March 11, 1916, he was married to Miss Mamie Branham and is survived by the following children. Lawrence Lester and Mrs. Joyce Jones of Rising Sun, William of Lawrenceburg, Wilford in the Air Force, Mrs. Ethel Bevis in Cincinnati, Mrs. Jean Green of near Aberdeen and Leroy and Kenneth. Another son, Harold died in military service in 1944. He leaves twenty three grandchildren and also leaves the following brothers and sisters: William and Raymond Lester near Vevay, Leland of Lyons, Ind., Mrs. Nola Pavy of Indianapolis and Mrs. Dean Bennett of Milan, Indiana. Mr. Lester had been a farmer all his life. He was a member of Bennington Masonic Lodge and of the Vevay IOOF and had many friends throughout the county. Masonic rites were held at the Haskell and Morrison Funeral home here by the Bennington Lodge at 8 o'clock Tuesday evening. The last rites, with Rev. Frank M. Reed officiating wre held here at 2 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon and interment was made in the Vevay cemetery. Transcribed by GenealogyGirl.
