Funeral services for Harvey will be on Wednesday, Feb. 15th, 10:30 a.m., at Peace Lutheran Church in Wall Lake with Reverend Roger Carlisle officiating. Burial will be at the Wall Lake Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home. Harvey was born on December 27, 1925, rural Wall Lake, the son of Jesse and Gertie (Freese) Reiter. He was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Wall Lake where he remained a lifetime member. Growing up in Wall Lake, he attended Wall Lake Schools through the 10th grade. On May 3, 1951, Harvey was united in marriage to Margaret F. Silberbauer at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wall Lake. To this union was born three sons: Paige, Jesse, and Kevin. Harvey was involved in the operation of Reiter Feed Company of Wall Lake and Lake View with his father and two brothers that began in 1942 and continued until his retirement in 1996. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. Harvey enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Watching the Chicago Cubs and Cardinals was great entertainment in later years. He leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years, Margaret F. Reiter; his three sons: Paige Reiter and his wife Mary of Lake City, IA, Jesse Reiter and his wife Sheri of Des Moines, IA, and Kevin Reiter of Lake City, IA; and his five grandchildren: Matthew, Jennifer, Michelle, Aaron, and Anne. Other survivors include his brothers: Jeryl Reiter and his wife Eva of Wall Lake, and Kermit Reiter and his wife Donna of Wall Lake; his sister, Annabella Leitz and her husband Bob of Paullina, IA; extended family members and a host of friends. His parents, Jesse and Gertie Reiter, preceded Harvey in death.
