Description	:	Dodson, Harvey Wayne, age 71, of Henrico, VA, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of January 29, 2021 after a courageous four month battle with advanced cancer. Christina S.H. (Ko) Dodson, his loving wife, was by his side to the end. He was born on December 24, 1949 in South Boston, VA and was the son of the late Harvey Andrews and Luzetta (Dean) Dodson. Read More	Dodson, Harvey Wayne, age 71, of Henrico, VA, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of January 29, 2021 after a courageous four month battle with advanced cancer. Christina S.H. (Ko) Dodson, his loving wife, was by his side to the end. He was born on December 24, 1949 in South Boston, VA and was the son of the late Harvey Andrews and Luzetta (Dean) Dodson. Wayne attended JR Tucker HS in Henrico County, and held a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Virginia Commonwealth University. He retired from the Central Intelligence Agency in 2007 as an officer in the Directorate of Support, capping a long 39 year career in the employ of our nation that began with his service both stateside and in several Southeast Asian countries with the United States Air Force. He married Christina on August 8, 1972 in Hong Kong. Throughout their 48 year marriage, Wayne and Christina enjoyed traveling across the world together and spending time with family and friends. His special interests included photography and painting, but his favorite activity of all was the time he spent with his granddaughter. She was his heart and joy. He is survived by his wife Christina and son, Christopher W.M. Dodson, his beloved granddaughter Freyja D.M.; her mother Shelley; a brother, Timothy A. (Lyn), of Buckingham, VA, and a sister, Linda S., of Henrico, VA. Funeral services will be held on February 8, 2021 at 10:00 at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N Parham Rd, Richmond, VA 23229. Interment to follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation will precede the service starting at 09:00. In leu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, or the United Service Organizations
