Hattie Elnora Noel, 82, a former resident of the Promise area, died at the Centralia (Wash.) General Hospital on March 21, 1981. She had been a resident of the Rochester and Centralia area since 1924. Born Sept. 17, 1898, in Prescott, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Eddie T. and Leonora (Robines) Daggett. She married George Carper of Promise on July 25, 1915. Mr. Carper died in 1934. She was later married to Ray Noel. Mrs. noel lived on a farm all her life. she... She had been a resident of the Rochester and Centralia area since 1924. Born Sept. 17, 1898, in Prescott, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Eddie T. and Leonora (Robines) Daggett. She married George Carper of Promise on July 25, 1915. Mr. Carper died in 1934. She was later married to Ray Noel. Mrs. noel lived on a farm all her life. she was employed at the maple Lane School as a cottage parent, retiring in 1962. She was a member of the Oregon Society of Artists and had sold several oil paintings under the name of Hattie Carper. She was also a member of the Christian Church. She is survived by her husband Ray, sons John G. Carper of Kennewick, Wash., Joe and Wilburn of Roseburg, a daughter Mrs. Dominick (Helen) Clemenzi of Gloucester, Mass., brothers Frank Daggett of Vista, Calif., and Warren Daggett of Hoodsport, Wash., sisters Bernice Hackett of Port Orchard, Wash., Florence Delaney of Centralia, Wash., and June Green of Bend. Services were held in Centralia.
