Jefferson Bee - Thursday, March 26, 1896 - Died at the home of her parents in Willow township, March 19, 1896 of pneumonia, Hazel Jones, aged nine months, two weeks and three days. Baby Hazel was born May 31, 1895, was the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Jones of this vicinity. Again has the dark angel death entered the happy home of our friend and neighbor and this time it has borne away one of their choicest flowers. After severe suffering for four days the baby quietly passed away to her long resting place where she will ever be happy in the kingdom of God. The sympathy of the entire community is with the grief stricken parents and sisters. The funeral was held at the home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. W.V. Wills preached the funeral discourse. A long procession followed the remains to the quiet tomb in our pleasant Willow cemetery where she was placed beside the remains of her brother, who had gone before. God's peace be with her in her dreamless sleep.
