Clayburg, pastor of the Methodist church in Coon Rapids. Burial was made in the family lot in Willow cemetery. Anna Law, daughter of Andrew and Mary Law was born May 31, 1857 in New York City, N.Y., and at the age of eight years moved with her parents to Polk county, in Iowa where she lived until her marriage to Alfred Jones, which took place July 4, 1877. They moved to Greene county where they lived on a farm for 38 years, and then came to Carroll, where they made her home for 13 years. Two years ago Mr. and Mrs. Jones sold their home on north Crawford street to M.L. Collison and moved to Bayard, where they have since resided. Six children were born to this union: Mrs. Charles Rogan and Mrs. Chester Cain of Scranton, Mrs. J.C. Krause of Powell, Wyo., and Mrs. Rex L. White of Waterloo, who with their father survive. Two children died in infancy. Mrs. Jones united with the Methodist Episcopal church at an early age and was a faithful member until death. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, a devout Christian and an affectionate friend and neighbor. Mrs. Jones died at her home in Bayard Sunday, following a short illness. She was a former resident of Carroll. Relatives and friends, who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. G.E. Burns, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Johnson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Burns, Mrs. Martin Ferigo, Mrs. Frank Law, all of Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. George Heggen, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ellis, Mr. and Mrs. A.R. White all of Ames: Samuel Eckard of Gilbert, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Law of Elkart, Otto Elliot of Cambridge, Mrs. Margaret Bills of Boone; Mrs. T.W. Stevens and Miss Mabel Stevens of Newton. Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Bayliss, Mrs. M.L. Collison and James Ryan, Mrs. F.V. Hibbs, Mrs. C.F. Bauerle, and Miss Geraldine Light of Carroll.
