She was born May 24, 1924 in Wilkes County to Artice Carlo and Nettie Clementine Harrald Brown. She was a member of Round Mountain Baptist Church. Mrs. Blevins was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ray Thomas Blevins; granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Childress and sister, Jessie Nelson. Surviving are her daughter, Nettie Ann Blevins of Hays; two sons, Thomas Ray Blevins, Tim Blevins and wife Teresa all of Hays; sister, Marie Brown of Hays; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held 3:00 o'clock Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Round Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Donnie Shumate, Rev. Paul Coffey, Rev. Justin Blevins officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. The family has requested no food. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
