Description	:	Henry Frederic Hoyer, son of Ernest and Christens Hoyer, was born March 1, 1802, died June, 15, 1902, after an Illness of 33 days, making him 40 years 3 months and 15 days old. He was married to Martha Pfister on July 11, 1880. He leaves to mourn his loss a father, a mother, a wife and 5 children, namely: Clara, Frieda, Albert, Dora, and Herbert, one baby dying in Its Infancy. He was married to Martha Pfister on July 11, 1880. Mr. Hoyer wae born and raised in Lee county, being well known for many miles around. He was a man that believed in doing unto others as he wished to be done by. He was a man that people could put their confidence in, such as helping the poor and needy and being administrator and guardian for minor children. He was a membor of the Evangelical church at Primrose and he will be greatly missed in the M. E church at Cottonwood where he was a willing helper holding offices in the church and Sabbath school. During his sickness he bore his suffering without a murmur and often spoke how good and kind hud nurse and friends were to him. There will be a vacant chair In the home, a vacant seat in the church, and a vacant place in the community that no one can fill but God knows all things best. Funeral services were held at his home Tuesday at 10 am by Rev. Sinclair. The Rev. preached a very touching sermon, was assisted by the M. E. choir of Cottonwood. After the services about five hundred people viewed the remains. From there services took place at the G.E. church at Primrose by Rev. Berkner his pastor where the text was chosen from the 1st book of Samuel. The choir furnished the music of appropriate songs that were very much appreciated. Interment took place at the Primrose cemetery. Many beautiful floral offerings were presented, and tokens of love and respect.
