Read More	Obituary - Red Deer Advocate - Red Deer, Alberta, Canada - 06 Jul 1938, Wed • Page 7 Death of Mrs. Helen Wyatt (From our Rainy Creek correspondent) The death of Mrs. Helen Wyatt occurred at her home early Tuesday morning, June 27. after an illness of about two weeks. She had been suftering from a heart ailment for some years, and was confined to her bed at one time for several months, but had been able to be around for the past year, and it was hoped she would be spared for a number of years to come. She was born in Abercorn, Que., on March 8, 1873, and was married to Mr. Ernest Wyatt, of the same place, on June 24, 1896. They lived there until 1913 when they moved to Alberta and purchased the place which has been their home ever since. Mr. Wyatt predeceased her in 1933, and Mrs. Wyatt very ably carried on the farm alone after his death Her daughter and son-in-law, Mr and Mrs. Lionel McCullough, have made their home with her for the past few years. Mrs. Wyatt was always keenly interested and an active worker in the Rainy Creek church and the Womens Association, of which organization she was president for several years, and her presence and support there will be greatly missed. Her high character and kindly disposition endeared her to everyone, and her passing will be regretted by all who knew her. Her home and family were very dear to her, and she and Mr. Wyatt built up one of the finest homes in the district. She leaves to mourn her loss two daughters. Mrs. Frank Nelson and Mrs. L. McCullough: and two sons, Douglas and Gordon, all living on farms in this district. There are fourteen grandchildren. Sympathy is extended to the family in their loss. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon from the family residence with Rev. Mr. Warren officiating. Mrs. Wm Wetzel sang a solo, Nearer, Still Nearer. Two other hymns, Face to Face and God Will Take Care of You, the latter her favorite hymn, were sung. The pallbearers were the two sons and two sons-in-law of the deceased. There were many floral offerings, including wreaths from the Rainy Creek Women's Association and Gull Lake Searchlight Club. Interment was made in the Bentley cemetery.
