Description	:	EMERSON, Neb. -- Helen C. Bottger, 82, of Emerson died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at a Wayne, Neb. hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emerson, with the Rev. James Kramper officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Emerson. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a Scriptural wake service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City. She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1937. She married Emil P. Bottger on Oct. 16, 1940, in Hubbard, Neb. She was employed as a dietician at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Emerson for 22 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society. Survivors include her husband; a son and his wife, Robert and Darlene of Antioch, Calif.; two daughters and their husbands, Judith and Paul Predoehl of Loomis, Calif., and Kathleen and Ron Lienemann of Rushville, Ind.; a sister, Beth White of Ponca, Neb.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, William, Eugene and Robert; and a sister, Margie Sherlock. The family requests that memorials in her name be directed to Sacred Heart Catholic School or Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emerson. ..Sioux City IA Journal 24JAN2002.
