Mrs. Johnson was born March 28, 1923, to Roy E. and Jessie (Comstock) Snavely in Nelson, Nebraska. She attended elementary schools in Nelson and Superior. Helen graduated from Nelson High School. April 11, 1940, she married Gene Stewart Scrivner in Mankato, Kansas. He died August 31, 1952. February 29, 1956, Helen married Delbert Arlis Johnson in Lincoln. She worked at the Saladine Cafe and Petty's Cafe, both in Nelson, and the Hill Top Cafe in Superior. She also worked at Kinnison's Grocery in Edgar for 12 years. Survivors include her husband, Delbert; six daughters, Paula Kay Payne and Carol Lynn Beck, both of Edgar, Nebraska, Sherry Jean Woolsey of Hastings, Nebraska, Grace Elaine Thompson of Tucson, Arizona, Peggy Ann Alexander of Phoenix, Arizona, and Cynthia Rae Petersen of Columbus, Nebraska; three sons, Robert Eugene Scrivner and Billy Joe Johnson, both of Omaha, Nebraska, and Mickey Lee Johnson of McCool Junction, Nebraska; one sister, Wilma Bennett of Beatrice, Nebraska; 20 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
