She moved to Roxana, DE in 1932 with her husband. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #12 of Frankford since 1945. Helen was a charter member, 1960, of Ladies Auxiliary of the Roxana Volunteer Fire Company. She spent many years assisting the ladies and men in preparation for their famous fried chicken dinners. She spent many years assisting the ladies and men in preparation for their famous fried chicken dinners. She was a long time member of the Roxana Methodist Church. Helen served 16 years as the Superintendent of the Youth Division of the church. She was an avid baseball fan, the Baltimore Orioles was her favorite team. She watched them religiously, even up to her final days. Cal Ripken, Jr, was one of her favorite players and now Miguel Tejaha was her favorite. Mrs. Lynch rode many miles and walked thousands of steps as a loyal follower of her grandson Adam, missing a hand full of games, which began when he was 9 at the Lower Sussex Little League System. Her steps followed him from there through Big League, High School, College, and the Semi Pro League in Salisbury, MD. Covering a span of 18 years, she was the unofficial scorekeeper for some of those teams, and on occasion corrected the official keeper of the book. Miss Helen, as she was so fondly referred to, will be missed by all. She touched lives of many throughout her years as a beloved mother, grandmother, and a friend to many to numerous to mention.
