Born Oct. 14, 1925, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of Thomas Duane and Clara Anna Brown Martin. On March 13, 1943, she married William E. Baker in Kahoka, Mo. On Sept. 4, 1970, she married Floyd Phillip Kapsch in Oquawka, Ill. Mrs. Kapsch worked as a seamstress for Wainright Glove Factory for 171/2 years and then worked in the upholstery department at Lehigh Leopold for 20 years. She retired in 1987. She... Born Oct. 14, 1925, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of Thomas Duane and Clara Anna Brown Martin. On March 13, 1943, she married William E. Baker in Kahoka, Mo. On Sept. 4, 1970, she married Floyd Phillip Kapsch in Oquawka, Ill. Mrs. Kapsch worked as a seamstress for Wainright Glove Factory for 171/2 years and then worked in the upholstery department at Lehigh Leopold for 20 years. She retired in 1987. She was a graduate of New London High School. She attended New London Christian Church. She liked to go antiquing, especially at antique doll auctions, and had a doll collection. She also made porcelain dolls. She enjoyed costuming dolls and reading. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Darlene Lounsbury of New London and Billie Myers of Fort Collins, Colo.; two stepdaughters, Patsy Daily of Stronghurst, Ill., and Kathy Murray of Cedar Rapids; two stepsons, Steven Kapsch of Spokane, Wash., and Dale Kapsch of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and eight stepgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one nephew and one stepdaughter. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Chapel in New London, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of the service. The funeral for Mrs. Kapsch will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Rod Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Brooks Cemetery in New London.
