She had undergone a previous operation in September and had returned to the hospital last Sunday. SILVER MIRROR QUEEN Mrs. Clapp, who was 41, was the former Helen Peoples. She was a graduate of Athens High School and Ohio University, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi. During her campus years, she was elected a Silver Mirror queen. While residing in Athens, Mrs. Clapp was a member of the Presbyterian Church here. She and Mr. Clapp had moved to Upper Arlington nine years ago, and resided at 2133 Fairfax Ave. In that community, Mrs. Clapp was a member of the First Community Church and the Columbus Girl Scout Council. She was active in Red Cross, Community Fund, PTA and Cub Scout affairs. Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, William Ford, 14, and Sarah Foster, 12; her mother, Mrs. O. F. Peoples, 19 S. Congress St., and a sister, Mrs. Edward R. Harris, of Lynchburg, Va. Mrs. Clapp was a niece of former Congressman and Mrs. I. M. Foster, of Washington. Officiating at the funeral services will be Dr. Roy A. Burkhart of the First Community Church. Friends may call at the Carroll Weir funeral home, Columbus, any time after Sunday noon.
