She was 74 years old. Helen Frances Wander was born on a farm near Clermont, September 9, 1884. Her parents were Sarah Frances and George Wander. Her father had come to the United States from France while a young man. Mrs. Dibble was one of ten children. Educated in a school near Clermont, Mrs. Dibble spent her early life on a farm. She was united in marriage with Ezra Henry Dibble on January 14, 1908, in West Union. Six children were born: DeFrances (Mrs. Lloyd Edwards) of Spokane, Wash., Phyllis (Mrs. Ronald Kelley) of Kansas City; Lovella (Mrs. Gordon Shepard) of Phoenix, Ariz.; Helen (Mrs. Robert Smith) of Waterloo; and twins, Jane Dibble of Newport News, Va., and Jack, of Clermont. Mrs. Dibble is survived by ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Surviving sisters are Mrs. David Brause and Mrs. Hugh Randall, both of West Union, and Mrs. Frank Gordon of Postville; brothers, Philip Wander of Bloomington, Ill., and George Wander of Ossian. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 8, 1951, and by two brothers and two sisters. She was baptized and confimred and a lifelong member of the Episcopal Church in Clermont. Mrs. Dibble was a member of the Woodland Study Club, Royal Neighbors of America, the Birthday Club and for many years the Ladies' Aid Society. Funerakl services were conducted by Father John Hedger of Clear Lake. Pall bearers were her nephews, George Wander, Jr., and Laverne Schweinefus, both of Castalia; Oliver Rowland, Jake and Joe Wander of Clermont; and Carroll Wander of Bloomington, Ill. Mrs. Willet Miller sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer" and "Abide With Me", accompanied by Mrs. Lucian Appelman at the organ. Flower girls were two of her grandchildren, Sharon Shepard and Zoe Ann Dibble.
