Description	:	Helen F. Williams, 65, Madison, died Aug. 23, 2000 at her home. Helen Francis Wells was born Dec. 7, 1934, near Canistota, to Edgar and Jenny May (Thompson) Wells. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Timothy; one brother, Dale; two sisters, Lois Wells and Forrest Bossman; two infant sisters and one infant brother. She was the youngest of seven children. She attended country school and then moved with her family to rural Madison when she was 15. Helen Francis Wells was born Dec. 7, 1934, near Canistota, to Edgar and Jenny May (Thompson) Wells. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Timothy; one brother, Dale; two sisters, Lois Wells and Forrest Bossman; two infant sisters and one infant brother. She was the youngest of seven children. She attended country school and then moved with her family to rural Madison when she was 15. She did housework for two families from Ramsey Baptist Church, rural Montrose, which led her to join the church and become baptized on Easter Sunday, 1951. She married Lloyd Thomas Williams on Feb. 12, 1954, at Ramsey Baptist Church. Four children were born to this union: Joel, Pamela, Tim and Aaron. They farmed near Junius and Winfred. She taught Sunday School for many years, sang in the church choir and was a member of the Dorcas Society and Gideon Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Tom of Madison; one daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Pamela) Hallman of Kimball; two sons, Joel (Peggy) of Pierre, and Aaron (Bobbie Lynn) of Mitchell; and one daughter-in-law, Vonda (Steve) Ponto of Colman; eight grandchildren; five special grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and two special great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rene Schell of Washougal, WA, Betty Townsend of Viborg, and Delphie McCullough of Washougal, WA. Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 26, with the Rev. Al Nasman officiating at the Ramsey Baptist Church, rural Montrose, and burial will precede the services at Ramsey Baptist Church Cemetery, Montrose. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the Ellsworth Funeral Home. The Ellsworth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
