She was born October 28, 1933 in Hope, the daughter of Phillip and Freda (Schuetz) Morgan. She graduated from Hope High School and later went on to Vo-Tec schooling for communication studies. Helen worked for a Teletype Operator for Rock Island Rail Road for 18 years. She later worked for the SRS taking care of the elderly and becoming supervisor before retiring.. Helen is survived by her loving husband Don of the home. Two daughters; Donna Murray and husband Andy of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Vickie Nadler and husband Don of Blue Springs, Missouri. Two sons; James Hamilton of Herington, Kansas and Kenny Hamilton and wife Michelle of Wellington, Missouri. Nine grandchildren and Seven grandchildren. One brother, Alfred Morgan of Hope and one sister, Isabelle Monty of Hope.She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Kenneth, Joe and Glen Morgan and one sister, Margaret Davis.Mass of Christian Burial for Helen will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, September 8, 2016 at St. Phillip’s Catholic Church in Hope with Fr. Theodore Khin as Celebrant and Fr. Soosai Rathinam as Co-Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Phillip’s Catholic Cemetery in Hope. Parish Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday evening at Carlson-Becker Funeral Home of Hope. Family will receive friends following. The family suggests memorials be given to the St. Phillip’s Catholic Cemetery Fund or to the Hand & Hand Hospice of Emporia. Memorials may be dropped off or mailed to Carlson-Becker Funeral Home, 106 N. 2Nd St., Hope, Kansas, 67451.
