Description	:	Helen Jacqueline Allard, 83 ( known as Jackie to most of her family and friends ) passed away peacefully on May 15 with her family at her bedside. She was born on July 1, 1932 in her childhood home on Haskell street in Westbrook to Everett and Lydia ( Newell ) Boothby. She married Philip Allard on November 25, 1950 and at the time of his passing in 2006 they had been married almost 56 years. Read More	Helen Jacqueline Allard, 83 ( known as Jackie to most of her family and friends ) passed away peacefully on May 15 with her family at her bedside. She was born on July 1, 1932 in her childhood home on Haskell street in Westbrook to Everett and Lydia ( Newell ) Boothby. She married Philip Allard on November 25, 1950 and at the time of his passing in 2006 they had been married almost 56 years. Jackie was very social and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends watching old movies, playing cards, taking trips to the casinos, going to beano, talking on the telephone, or just sitting around visiting. Jackie had a strong faith and had been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) since 1972. She was always thankful for the opportunities she had serving as a mentor and counselor for the young women for many years. Many members of the church fondly remember all the fudge she made for the bake sales and the money she helped raise for building projects. A granddaughter of Socklexes Newell, a full blooded Penobscot Indian, she was sponsored to become a member of the tribe and was proud to be listed on the Census Rolls. Jackie was predeceased by her parents and by her husband. The youngest of eight children, she was predeceased by her siblings, Richard, Philip, Robert, Leona, Shirley, Arlene, and Elizabeth (Betty). Family and friends are welcome to join in a celebration of her life at a graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Westbrook on Saturday May 21st at 2:00 PM.
