Helen Jensen Services Are Held May 12 Mrs. Helen Jensen, 66, died last Thursday afternoon, May 8, at Richland Homes in Sidney where she had been a patient for a number of years. Born Helen Miller at Esmond, N. Dak. Aug. 6, 1908, a daughter of John and Mary Miller, she came to Sheridan County at the age of 3 with her parents. She grew up at Westby and was valedictorian of the first graduating class at Westby High School. Graduated from Minot State Teachers College, she also attended college at Miles City, and taught school for 13 years in Sheridan County. She was married to Frode Jensen at Dagmar, Dec. 31, 1936, and they lived in the Dagmar community for a short time, moved to the Plentywood area in Dec. 1941, and moved into Plentywood in 1946. She made her home here until moving to Richland Homes about 10 years ago. She was a member of the Plentywood Lutheran Church, the Degree of Honor, and the A.L. C. W. Surviving are her husband, Frode of Plentywood, one daughter, Sheila, (Mrs. Les Gapay) of Silver Spring, Maryland; 2 brothers, Leander Miller of Kansas City, Missouri and Claire Miller of Portland and 2 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son in infancy and a sister, Evelyn Francis, who died in 1963. Funeral Services were held Monday, May 12, at the Plentywood Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Herb Knutsen officiating and interment was in the Plentywood Cemetery. Casket bearers all former students of hers, were John Overby, Gordon Thompson, Chester Ross, James Wheeler, Richard Hendrickson and Torgeir Vik.
