"Helen Christina [Kirstine] Olsen was born April 1, 1910, in Hardy, Neb., the daughter of Ole and Lena Riber Olsen. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Lutheran church near Ruskin, Neb., and spent her childhood in the Ruskin vicinity. Ervin Jorgensen of Winnetoon, Neb., and Helen Olsen were united in marriage March 16, 1936, at Bethany Lutheran church at Ruskin. They lived on a farm near Creighton, Neb., for six years, and had lived on a farm near Osage since 1948. Mrs. Jorgensen was active and held office in the Amerian Lutheran church Women of Our Savior's Lutheran church in Osage. Surviving are her husband, Ervin, of Osage; five sons, twins, Keith and Kenneth, at home; Jerome of Riceville; Lloyd of Denver, Col.; Milton of Boulder, Col; and two granddaughters. Also surviving are one brother, Sheldon Olsen of Fairbury, Neb.; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Simonson of Ruskin, Mrs. Myrtle West of Portland, Ore.; and Mrs. Grace Christensen of Clay Center, Neb.; nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, one sister and two brothers." Mitchell County Press News, Osage, Iowa.
