Helen was born November 2, 1928 in Akron, the daughter of Wayne and Pauline (Michels) Lias. She attended Westfield High School. She married Daryled Hoffman December, 15, 1945 in Elk Point. He preceded her in death in 1990. She was employed at Casey's General Store in Akron for the past 10 years. Survivors include one son, Marlin Hoffman, of Westfield; three daughters, Suzette Leuenhagen and her husband Jim of Aurora, Col., Rosanne Moffatt and her husband David of Aurora, Col., and Denise Tarrence and her husband Clyde of Sioux Falls, SD; one sister, Fran Wirth and three brothers, Bud, Don and Norman; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
