Description	:	Helen Lillian Schiermeyer was born on a farm near Litchville, North Dakota, on April 4, 1910, to Hans and Caroline (Horsager) Belling, and departed this life on December 27, 1989, at the Good Samaritan Center in Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 23 days. She was raised on the family farm and attended Litchville schools. She was baptized in May of 1910 and confirmed May 25, 1924, in the Lutheran Church at North Dakota. She was raised on the family farm and attended Litchville schools. She was baptized in May of 1910 and confirmed May 25, 1924, in the Lutheran Church at North Dakota. On January 1, 1947, at Arthur, North Dakota, she was united in marriage to Herman Kroeger. Herman preceded her in death May 15, 1960. On November 28, 1961, she was married to Fred Schiermeyer in Litchville. She spent many years working at Good Samaritan nursing homes in Iowa, North Dakota, Colorado and Montana. Her deep love for the Lord caused her to reach out to help people and she was always giving, and offering her love to them. She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church and the Fairview Neighborhood Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first hubsand, Herman Kroeger; and a brother, Oliver Belling. She is survived by her husband Fred of the Good Samaritan Center in Superior; three step-sons, Glen Schiermeyer and his wife Arlet of Ruskin, Verlin Schiermeyer and his wife Esther of Aqua Dulce, California, and Robert Schiermeyer and his wife Sharon of Superior; two step-daughters, Fern Anderson and her husband Marvin of Emerald, Wisconsin, and Eleanor Schiermeyer of Minneapolis, Minnesota; three brothers, Clarence Belling and his wife Beth of Richland, Montana, Olaf Belling and his wife Violet of Conrad, Montana, and Harold Belling of Salome, Arizona; a sister, Anna May Belling of Litchville, North Dakota; 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 2, 1990, at 2:00 p.m. from the Salem Lutheran Church, rural Superior, with Pastor Steve Tjarks officiating. Music was provided by Joan Schiermeyer, soloist, singing selections of "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace," with a congregational hymn of "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" with Virginia Drohman as organist and accompanist. Casketbearers were Dennis, Curtis, Allen and Brian Schiermeyer, Ron Meyer and Gordon Meyer. Burial was in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, rural Superior, Nebraska.
