Description	:	Helen M. Denzin, 92, of Bowman, ND formerly of Buffalo, SD, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 at the Southwest Healthcare Long Term Center in Bowman. Funeral Services for Helen will be on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the Grand River Lutheran Church in Buffalo beginning at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Marge Hershey will officiate with burial to follow in the Buffalo Cemetery. Denzin, 92, of Bowman, ND formerly of Buffalo, SD, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 at the Southwest Healthcare Long Term Center in Bowman. Helen Marie (Hofer) Denzin was born on November 22, 1918 to Benjamin and Mollie (Reitz) Hofer in Elgin, IA. Helen received her education in Elgin, IA, and graduated from High School in 1936. She then attended college in Chicago, ILL at the Gem City Business College and Graduated in 1937. After college, she was employed at a Hotel in Chicago. She moved various places until moving to Wall, SD, where she lived with her aunt and uncle, then moving to Rapid City where she met Bill Denzin. They were married on November 14, 1949 in Deadwood, SD. After their marriage, Bill worked road construction and Helen took care of he the kids. They lived in various towns around the area before they ended up in Buffalo where the boys attended school. While the boys where growing up, Helen worked at the Cactus Motel, worked in the Harding Co. Auditors Office, cleaned houses and took care of many of the country kids where they roomed an boarded with the Denzins'. Helen was involved in the Lutheran Church where she was confirmed, Royal Neighbors, Senior Citizens and many other activities. Her hobbies were puzzles, playing cards and visiting with friends and neighbors. Helen is survived by her three sons, Bill of Spearfish, SD, Dale of Buffalo, SD, and Lane (Peggy) of Lovell, WY, grandchildren, Mick (Jane) Denzin of Buffalo, Amy Denzin of Denver, CO, and Brandy (Josh) Stadheim of Bowman, ND, two great grandchildren, Saige and Raegan Stadheim of Bowman, brothers, Ben (Betty) Hofer and Al (Lona) Hofer, sister, Mary Anne Pfister, sisters-in-law, Audrey, Patience, Betty and Lila, also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, brothers, Clarence, Louis, John, Paul and Sam Hofer, sisters, Bertha Rainey and Rose Hofer, brothers-in-law, Bill Rainey and Bill Pfister and sister-in-law, Thelma Hofer. Krebsbach and Kulseth Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
