Description	:	Earling – Helen M Stolz, 65. Helen Marie Stolz, daughter of Nicholas and Elizabeth Behrendt Kohl, was born on a farm in Shelby County near Earling, on Feb 15, 1915. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Church in Earling. She attended St. Joseph’s School and grew to adulthood on her parent’s farm. Read More	Earling – Helen M Stolz, 65. Helen Marie Stolz, daughter of Nicholas and Elizabeth Behrendt Kohl, was born on a farm in Shelby County near Earling, on Feb 15, 1915. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Church in Earling. She attended St. Joseph’s School and grew to adulthood on her parent’s farm. On Jan 18, 1939, she married Clarence Stolz in St. Joseph’s Church. They made their home on the Kohl family farm, where Helen was born and continued to live there until retiring in 1979 and moving into Earling. This has been their home since that time. They were privileged to celebrate their 41st wedding anniversary this past January. Mrs Stolz died at the Myrtue Memorial hospital in Harlan, on Wednesday, May 7 1980, at 65 years, two months, and 22 days. She has been a life time member of St. Joseph’s Church in Earling where she served as a Minister of the Eucharist. She was active in the Cursillo and TEC Communities and has been a member of St. Katherine’s Court No 266, Catholic Daughters of America of Earling. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Clarence of Earling; two daughters – Ella Stolz (Mrs. Don Naimoli) of Council Bluffs and Barbara (Mrs. James) Calandro of West Des Moines; one son – John J Stolz of Omaha; eight grandchildren – Lisa, Lynne, and Laura Blum, Donna and Vincent Naimoli and Christopher, Anthony, and Stacey Calandro and other relatives. A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Joseph’s church in Earling on Saturday, May 10, 1980. Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
