Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM Friday, September 7, 2018 at Church of St. Mary in Sioux Falls, SD. Helen Marie Schleich as born on October 16, 1933 in Alexandria, SD to parents, William and Mary (Kayser) Schleich. She grew up in the Emery, SD area and moved to Sioux Falls after high school and started working. She worked for All-American/American Freight for 32 years, Wilson Truck and retired at Citibank. She married Marvin J. Reuss on June 4, 1956 in Emery, SD and to this union, four children were born. She was a charter member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church; St. Mary’s Altar Society, Catholic Order of Foresters, Active Generations, and the VFW Auxiliary. Helen was a very talented piano player and dedicated her services to many nursing homes. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her beloved family. She had a great home life and was raised by wonderful parents. Grateful for sharing her life are her children, Kathy Marti of Oklahoma City, OK, James Reuss of Sioux Falls, SD, Karen (Gary) Damman of Jasper, MN; brother, Nicholas (Alice) Schleich of Emery, SD; sister, LaVerne Nelson of Sioux Falls, SD; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchilren; and a host of additional relatives and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin J. Reuss; parents, William and Mary Schleich; her son, Daniel Reuss; grandson, Brody Damman; sister, Pauline Jensen; and brother, Merrill Schleich. - George Boom Funeral Home
