Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Fred (Helen) Goreham of Des Moines were conducted by the Rev. Martin Gruneich at the Steffy Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon, February 17. Miss Alice Underwood was the organist. Casket bearers were Kenneth Cox, Marion Palmer, David Sutherland, Joe Alexander, Richard Bowers and William Hinegardner. Burial was at Stewart Cemetery. She attended the Montezuma schools and graduated from Grinnell College in 1934. On July 3, 1932, she married Fred S. Goreham of Grinnell. A resident of Des Moines since 1934, Mrs. Goreham was chief clerk in the State Senate bill room. She was active in the Republican party and in civic work, having been a recipient of the Ford Motor Co. Citizen of the Year award for outstanding community service. She belonged to the Order of Eastern Star, Kappa Delta Beta, Grinnell College Women's Club, Iowa Council of Republican Women and the Hyperion Field Club. Surviving are her husband; a son, Fritz of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a daughter, Judy of Des Moines; four grandchildren, Dale, Betsy, Becky and Susy; her mother, Mrs. Clyde McFarlin of Montezuma; two brothers, William McFarlin of Des Moines and Norman McFarlin of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Marguerite Beckner of Arlington, Va., and Mrs. John F. Bierman of Grinnell.
