Born on Aug. 8, 1920, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Sambach) Neumann. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Elfrieda Neumann and Johanna Sills. Mrs. Walburn was a retired office manager for the Mineral Coal Company. She was a secretary for the Board of Elections Supervisors in Allegany County, Md., and was co-owner for K.S. Born on Aug. 8, 1920, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Sambach) Neumann. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Elfrieda Neumann and Johanna Sills. Mrs. Walburn was a retired office manager for the Mineral Coal Company. She was a secretary for the Board of Elections Supervisors in Allegany County, Md., and was co-owner for K.S. Abacus Billing Services. She was also employed at Maxwell Air Force Base during World War II. Mrs. Walburn was a 1938 graduate of Allegany High School. She also graduated from Catherman's Business School. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, member of Cumberland Country Club, 19th Hole Bowling League, member of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and was an avid bridge player who enjoyed golf, bowling and dancing. Surviving are her husband, Roy Walburn; two sons, Robert N. Walburn and wife Linda, Monrovia, Md., Jonathan R. Walburn, M.D., Cumberland; one grandson, Robert B. Walburn and wife Brenda, Frederick; two granddaughters, Deena T. Walburn, Cumberland, Lora B. Walburn, Monrovia; one sister, Margaret Frantz, Frostburg; seven nephews; and three nieces. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 2:30 P.m. with the Pastor Raymond Scheck officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
